Numerical Analysis of a Two-wheeled Vehicle Chassis

Abstract

This paper presents the structural analysis and redesign of the chassis of a two-wheeled electric vehicle using numerical simulations with the finite element method (FEM). Using specialised software such as Abaqus and SolidWorks, thestructural behaviour of the chassis was evaluated under different static and dynamic load conditions, including frontal and lateral impact studies. As aresult, critical stress areas were identified and structural improvements were proposed aimed at reducing deformations without significantly increasing the overall weight.
