Hacia un currículo de ingeniería basado en microcredenciales para la era de la inteligencia artificial

Resumen

La educación superior en ingeniería enfrenta una transformación sin precedentes, impulsada por la rápida evolución de las tecnologías digitales, la disponibilidad masiva de información y la incorporación creciente de sistemas de inteligencia artificial (IA) en prácticamente todos los ámbitos del conocimiento. Los modelos curriculares tradicionales, estructurados mediante asignaturas de duración fija y secuencias rígidas de aprendizaje, muestran dificultades para adaptarse a la velocidad con la que evolucionan las competencias requeridas por la industria y la sociedad. En este trabajo se analiza críticamente la estructura actual de los programas de ingeniería y se propone un nuevo paradigma educativo basado en nodos de conocimiento y certificación de competencias. El modelo sustituye la organización tradicional por asignaturas por una red de certificaciones teóricas, prácticas y de proyectos que los estudiantes pueden completar de acuerdo con su ritmo de aprendizaje. Asimismo, se propone la microcredencialización como mecanismo natural para implementar esta estructura, permitiendo la acumulación progresiva de competencias verificables y favoreciendo el aprendizaje permanente. Se discute el papel de la inteligencia artificial como herramienta de apoyo al aprendizaje autónomo y se analizan las implicaciones de esta propuesta para la formación de ingenieros en el siglo XXI.
